Photography by Alex Rankin

My work focuses mainly on urban landscapes, and capturing a scene or space that has a certain mood or visual quality about it. This can be anything from derelict buildings to street scenes and architecture.
I am also interested in how it is possible to create narrative from an image and how stories can be generated out of seemingly empty spaces. I am currently exploring this concept through the use of words and images.
More can be read about this on my blog:

In the meantime, please enjoy my work. These albums are still evolving, so.be sure to check back regularly for new work and exhibition dates.
